In Person Worship Returning!
Things have been steadily getting better regarding the pandemic, and it is very good news that the world – and our life together as a congregation – is opening up once again! However… given that concerns for the spread of the Covid-19 virus do remain, and out of our shared concern for the health and safety of all the members of our church family, please know that for the time being, all appropriate safety protocols will still be in place: social-distancing and masks will be required inside the church (masks, along with hand sanitizer, will be made available), and through at least the month of June, we will NOT be gathering for refreshment and fellowship following worship.
The shape and form of each Sunday’s service and how our time is safely spent together as a church family – both in-person and online – will be gradually assessed and developed over the next several weeks; hopefully, it will not be long before things return to “normal” – or at least a “new normal” – here at East Church.
In that regard, you should know that our new tradition of livestreamed worship services WILL continue each Sunday via Facebook Live! In fact, in the coming weeks, we’ll be looking at ways to upgrade the digital part of our life together and to find new ways to welcome those who have found us online over the past year.
If you missed our live service you may view the recording and other videos here: East Congregational Facebook VideosOpens in a new window
This is a public site, and should be easily accessible even to those not currently on Facebook (you may need to navigate around some requests to join Facebook, but you should be able to view the live streaming of the service, as well as other videos and messages that are being posted throughout the week).
In addition, Sunday’s message, along with other sermons and devotionals will be posted on the “Pastoral Ponderings” blogOpens in a new window and the “Love to Tell the Story” PodcastOpens in a new window available wherever you listen to podcasts.
We hope you’ll plan to be with us online this Sunday as it is a good way for us all to be together in these difficult times.
We have also added a secure online giving form through Tithely if you are able please consider using this method to support our church in these unprecedented times. Give Now
